Job Description :
We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled RN / LPN Wound Care Nurse to join our team. This full-time position involves working Monday through Friday during daytime hours and includes participation in an on-call rotation.
The Wound Care Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality wound care management and treatment to our residents, ensuring optimal healing outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents with wounds, developing and implementing individualized care plans.
- Administer wound treatments, including dressing changes, debridement, and other therapeutic interventions as required.
- Monitor wound healing progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Provide education and support to residents, families, and staff on wound prevention and care.
- Participate in the on-call rotation as part of the wound care team.
Qualifications :
- Must hold a valid RN or LPN license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Wound care certification (WCC, CWCN, or equivalent) is required.
- Previous experience in wound care, particularly in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting, is strongly preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
