About the Company

3Play Media is a growing, Media Accessibility company. Our premium live captioning, transcription, audio description, and translation solutions serve over 10,000 higher education, enterprise, media, and government customers.

Established in 2007 at MIT Sloan, we've since expanded with headquarters in Boston, MA, and offices in Minneapolis, MN, and Calgary, AB.

We are looking for an experienced IT Administrator to provide local technical support to users in our Boston office. The best candidate should be passionate about technology, curious, and eager to contribute.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for both Mac and Windows operating systems.
  • Maintain, configure, and optimize network hardware and software.
  • Effectively communicate issues and resolutions to individuals with less technical skills.
  • Manage and resolve help desk requests promptly and efficiently.
  • Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware.
  • Monitor, maintain and enforce network security, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and documentation of IT projects.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on IT systems and software.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in IT.
  • Partake in rotational on calls for emergency after hour support

Requirements :

  • Minimum 4 years of IT support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of both Mac and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with network hardware such as routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent are a plus. But years of experience are also accepted.

3Play offers a flexible work environment that is hybrid. This position is required to work 2 days a week in our Boston office and 3 days a week remote.
