Responsibilities :

• Facilitate sedation appointments :
• Assist with monitoring patients undergoing sedation, including hooking them up to monitoring equipment, starting IVs, and ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
• Assist in preparing patients for sedation : Follow pre-operative protocols, obtain medical clearances, and conduct interviews as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records : Collaborate with the dental team to ensure thorough documentation of patient information, treatment plans, and sedation records.

Assist in logging and tracking medication counts for compliance and safety.

• Assist with Dental treatments as instructed
• Take and record dental histories and patient records
• Prepare instruments; clean treatment areas; sterilize equipment
• Responsible for patient flow, keeping treatment rooms neat and organized
• Instruct patients in oral hygiene

Requirements :

• Current BLS certificate
• Current OSHA and HIPPA certificates
• North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician - Advanced Certification
• Nitrous monitoring course
• Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Excellent organizational skills- Ability to work well in a team environment
• Exceptional attention to detail- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
