Responsibilities :
- Facilitate sedation appointments :
- Assist with monitoring patients undergoing sedation, including hooking them up to monitoring equipment, starting IVs, and ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
- Assist in preparing patients for sedation : Follow pre-operative protocols, obtain medical clearances, and conduct interviews as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records : Collaborate with the dental team to ensure thorough documentation of patient information, treatment plans, and sedation records.
Assist in logging and tracking medication counts for compliance and safety.
- Assist with Dental treatments as instructed
- Take and record dental histories and patient records
- Prepare instruments; clean treatment areas; sterilize equipment
- Responsible for patient flow, keeping treatment rooms neat and organized
- Instruct patients in oral hygiene
Requirements :
- Current BLS certificate
- Current OSHA and HIPPA certificates
- North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician - Advanced Certification
- Nitrous monitoring course
- Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
- Excellent organizational skills- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Exceptional attention to detail- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
