- The Salvation Army Midland Division Midtown Service and Treatment Center is looking for a Registered Nurse . This individual will be responsible for managing the individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients' health through the nursing process;
- collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members from Affinia and ARCA; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families;
and supervising assigned team members.
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position, with a starting salary of $80,000 per year with a $2,000 signing bonus paid after the successful completion of the 90-day orientation period.
The Salvation Army Midtown Service and Treatment Center is located at 29 00 Washington Ave, Saint Louis, MO.
Essential Functions
- The nurse will work with the Nurse Practitioner from AHC to coordinate primary care services for clients from TSA, ARCA, and the community.
- Integrated Care Registered Nurse participates in the information gathering, analysis, education, and form completion aspects of the admissions process.
- The Integrated Care Registered Nurse evaluates patients for medical issues e.g., medical records review as requested.
- The Integrated Care Registered Nurse Obtains agreement for admission of referred patients and families who meet admission criteria
- The Integrated Care Registered Nurse will conduct health screenings, when the N or Physician is not on-site to collect vitals, Rapid COVID test, etc.
- On the days the NP or Physician is on-site the nurse will assist as directed with seeing patients, providing vaccines, collecting blood, etc.
- The Integrated Care Registered Nurse will work with the TSA Outreach Worker and ARCA to fill the appointment calendar for the NP or Physician each week.
- Integrated Care Registered Nurse builds effective referral source relationships to support the high quality and responsiveness expectations associated with VITAS.
- Integrated Care Registered Nurse maintains clinical and professional competence.
- Utilize substance abuse assessments such as COWS, ASAM, and other evidence-based tools for evaluation and recommended placement of clients served.

Qualifications
Currently licensed as an R.N. in the state where duties are performed. Previous hospital, clinic, or physician practice experience with mental health or substance use disorder clients preferred.
Bachelor's degree in nursing and one (1) year of supervisory experience preferred. A combination of training and experience will be considered.
Must be a team player, self-starter, strong communicator, and perform well with minimum supervision. Ability to think independently and exercise sound judgment.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Able to work additional hours as needed (e.g., special events and outreach.
Must pass Salvation Army MVR check, have a valid driver's license, and have reliable transportation .
