About The Position

Job Title : Critical Care Nurse Job Specialty : Cardiac Critical Care Unit (CCU) Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 12-Hour Nights Guaranteed Hours : 36 Hours per Week Experience : Minimum of 2 Years License : Active New Mexico or Compact License Certifications : BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (BLS and ACLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross) Must-Have : - Successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment - EPIC EMR experience preferred - Ability to pass the basic cardiac arrhythmia (BCA) testing during the first week of assignment Job Description : - Provide skilled nursing care in a 12+ bed cardiac critical care and / or intensive care unit- Preferred experience with open heart procedures, LVAD, and balloon pumps- Must be a team player, flexible, and able to adapt to fast-paced environments- Float within the facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of the primary location- Float to progressive care units, med / surg, ICU (to care for telemetry patients boarding in ICU), and ED (to care for admitted inpatients holding for a bed or as helping hands) - Participate in 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule, and cover holidays as required by policy - Will not receive holiday time-off requests approval - Orientation during the first week of the contract, not exceeding 40 total hours, including EPIC training - Scrubs required Additional Information : - Candidates must not have been employed by the specific healthcare system for 12 months from the last day worked to be eligible for this position.
