About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Services Technician Job Specialty : Certified Operating Room Technician / Surgical Technician (CST) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 4x10-Hour (06 : 45 - 17 : 15) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : 2+ years of Level 1 trauma experience preferred License : Valid State License preferred at time of submission Certifications : CST, BLS, ACLS (AHA) Must-Have : Epic experience- 2+ years of experience- BLS Certification- ACLS Certification- Ability to float within the hospital or nearby affiliate hospitals Job Description : Perform delegated duties to ensure a safe operating room environment.
- Clean and ensure equipment functions appropriately.- Conduct operative procedures maximizing patient safety.- Exhibit expertise in sterile and aseptic technique application.
- Combine knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools to facilitate invasive / diagnostic procedures safely.
- Demonstrate proficiency in clinical skills specific to Perioperative Services.- Show working knowledge of sterile techniques.
- Proficiently perform in the scrub role across surgical specialties.- Provide patient comfort, safety, privacy, and respect within the perioperative setting.
- Identify and develop expertise in surgical specialties.- Demonstrate knowledge of equipment, instrumentation, and supplies.
- Perform effectively in emergent situations and respond appropriately in emergencies or code situations. - Manage time effectively to accomplish caseload assignments timely.
- Complete operating room turnover between cases within established timelines.- Utilize unassigned time productively.Note : The COVID-19 vaccine is not required, and the flu vaccine status is unknown.
