Who You Are The Field Service Technician Level I will provide technical support for onsite customers across various Point of Sale (POS) platforms and is accountable for a specific territory and customers by providing industry leading service.
This position will also be responsible for maintaining the DUMAC vehicle and local inventory levels.
Additionally, this position requires after hours and weekend work flexibility for an on-call rotation.
This position requires travel in the regions in and between Hartford, CT, New Haven, CT, New London, CT, and Worcester, MA.
What You'll Do Perform diagnostics down to the root cause componentRepair and replace PC components and peripheralsCommunicate with customers prioritizing service and expectationsTroubleshoot and repair computer equipment and networks in a POS environmentDedicated commitment to customer satisfactionEffectively prioritize and complete service calls in designated areaAccurately complete required paperwork and documentation for all work completedCombine speed and accuracy in completing tasks including credit card reconciliation, call handling, inventory, vehicle maintenance, returning equipment, and other technician duties as assignedActive member in the on-call rotation, working to becoming primary on call resourceLearn proper customer communication techniquesLearn processes and procedures to ship and receive equipment and parts to / from remote technicians and officesDemonstrate proper attitude, availability, punctuality, and attendance What You'll Bring to the Team High School diploma and / or experience in a computer / technical positionValid, active driver's licenseBasic understanding of the elements, functions, and inter-dependence of all parts of a POS systemExcellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skillsPossess the accountability and personal responsibility to own and drive resultsAbility to work independently and part of a team environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications Possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong organizational skills, attention to detail and logical problem-solving skills Work Environment Ability to handle multiple priorities and demands in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00 / hour.
Base pay offered may vary depending on several factors including geographical location, skills, education, certifications, and experience.
The total compensation package may also include other elements in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (401(k) eligibility, PTO), dependent on the position.
