LHH is seeking a Project Manager for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client in Indianapolis, Indiana.

This is an opportunity to join an industry leader who has doubled in size in recent years and is on a growth trajectory to double again within the next five years.

In this role, you will be given the opportunity to lead a variety of projects, interface with clients, lead the quotation process, and assist with new product development at the manufacturing facility.

You will also travel to customer sites (primarily on the East Coast) for in-person development meetings. The compensation is commensurate to experience and ranges between $90,000-100,000 per year and includes a comprehensive benefit package, Paid Time Off, 401K program with a company match, and more.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet with clients and spearhead quotation during the new product development process
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team to establish and lead projects which support the growth of the organization
  • Effectively partner with a cross-functional team and establish project plans, tasks, resources, and ownership to ensure timelines are met
  • Manage budgets, develop cost savings initiatives, and achieve all cost reduction savings targets
  • Monitor workload, project capacity, and develop strong relationships with business colleagues
  • Coordinate internal and external resources for the successful planning and execution of projects
  • Work proactively to remove project obstacles, identify, and manage issue escalations, and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities
  • Actively drive the enhancement of project management processes, tooling, and templates to improve the project management function
  • Provide timely status reports and program summaries including scope / schedule / quality risks, project status, resource allocation and customer impact
  • Identify and manage costs associated with project budgets
  • Create and document new processes as required.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to ensure that all appropriate safety and compliance regulations are being met at all times
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and market developments in your respective categories

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Operations Management, Business, and / or Supply Chain Management is required
  • Strong preference toward PMP Certification
  • Must have 5+ years of experience serving as a Project Manager within a manufacturing facility where you've assisted with new project development (PLEASE NOTE : Candidates from construction cable / internet, IT, or service-related candidates will NOT be considered)
  • Strong preference toward candidates with engineering know-how and the ability to read blueprints and understand CAD drawings
  • Must be a high-performer, goal setter, who can motivate others
  • Must possess a track record of being a results-driven person who consistently meets and exceeds organizational goals
  • Must be a natural problem-solver who possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
