About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : ICU Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 years;
first-time travelers accepted License : GA or Compact license required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have : - References from two supervisors, preferably managers or above Job Description : - Work in an ICU setting with patient populations ranging from adults to geriatrics.
- Manage general diagnoses such as ARDS, Sepsis, Stroke, STEMI, DKA, Post-op complications, Cardiogenic shock, GIB, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, Liver failure, Drug overdose, and ESRD on CRRT.
- Be prepared for a patient ratio of 1 : 2-3, with the potential of taking a third patient. - Work within a 24-room unit with an average daily census of 19.
- Utilize unit systems including Pyxis, Epic, and SBAR. - Wear navy blue scrubs. - Flexibility required; block scheduling not guaranteed, and floating within the facility is expected.
- Work every other weekend. - Work designated major holidays based on assignment period. - Comply fully to ensure an on-time start;
potential two-week pushback for non-compliance. - Complete orientation consisting of 13 non-billable hours.
