Senior Financial Analyst - Security Clearance Required

SAIC is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to support the Sr. Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), the Business Group Controller, and the VP of Finance within SAIC's Air Force & Combatant Commands Business Group.

They will work closely with the Business Group and Program Finance teams to accelerate financial growth and operating cash flow.

The ideal candidate must have sharp financial acumen, strong interpersonal skills and a passion proactive engagement and process improvement.

Initially, this position will focus 100% on FP&A support to the BG then will shift to 50% FP&A and 50% direct charge Program Control as our portfolio continues to rapidly grow.

This position is 100% remote nationwide.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support quarterly forecasting, period close reporting, and detailed variance analysis to aid in the management of the Business Group.
• Prepare and distribute weekly financial information and analysis within required deadlines and ensure that the information provided is concise, relevant, and understandable to assist Business Group and Account level leadership in making intelligent business decisions.
• Perform account reconciliation for indirect and direct projects.
• Provide support to FP&A Manager and VP of Business Development with investment budget reporting and management. Utilize common analysis techniques to anticipate variances and work with business development team to drive compliance with budget envelope at the deal and account level.
• Develop financial dashboards and ad hoc reports to support Account Finance Leads and Group VP of Finance Operations.
• Regular interaction with functional peer groups (Program Control, Treasury, Corp FP&A, Accounting, Contracts, HR, Compliance, etc) and senior management requiring the ability to gain cooperation of others.
• Create procedure documents and support training or process improvement initiatives that affect operations.
• Assist with business case development, investment planning, proposal development, internal controls, and ad hoc analysis utilizing sound business judgment to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications :

Bachelors in Finance or Accounting discipline and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience;

PhD and 0 years related experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance after hire is required.
• Basic knowledge of federal government contracting.
• Experience in Program Control, Project Control, or related work.
• Strong financial acumen.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using Deltek Costpoint, Oracle EPM, Cognos, SmartView, or ThinkCell.

Desired Qualifications :

• Familiarity with dashboard development using PowerBI.
• Experience w / FP&A.
