The HVAC Technician is responsible for the daily operation, preventive maintenance, and repairs including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety and fire protection systems to ensure proper facility operations.

The HVAC Technician will maintain and operate equipment that supports a variety of operations labs, clean rooms, office space, plant equipment, data centers, and warehouses.

They will work closely with senior level Technicians and Mechanics for guidance & prioritization.

A Day in the Life

This is a 1st shift position 7 am to 3 pm, Thursday - Monday.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment.
  • Experience working in one or more of the maintenance trades : carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine, and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.
  • Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
  • Experience in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment.
  • Use blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.

Must Have : Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.
  • Must have a high school diploma, or GED.

Nice to Have

  • CT D2,S2, or greater
  • EPA refrigeration "universal certification"
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical and / or plumbing systems
  • Limited experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS)
  • Limited experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Limited experience with Fire / Life Safety Systems
