About The Position
Weekly Pay Range - $1192 To $1324 Job Title : Anesthesia Technologist Job Specialty : Anesthesia Technician Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 9 : 30 PM - 6 : 00 AM with some late nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and call-back as needed Guaranteed Hours : Experience : Two years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician highly desired License : Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred (American Heart Association ONLY);
Certification by the registry of the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists or other nationally recognized professional certifying body preferred Must-Have : Job Description : Assist in preparing and managing anesthesia equipment before patient arrival, including setting up monitors and ensuring equipment cleanliness and availability.
- Communicate continuously with anesthesiologists, residents, CRNAs, and other technologists to meet their needs.- Support clinicians with difficult intubations and the placement of central line catheters.
- Operate the cell-saver machine, track lab reports, and participate in advanced surgical cases, such as cardiac, liver transplant, vascular, thoracic, and trauma.
- Provide on-call coverage as needed.- Ensure anesthesia equipment is in good working order and perform preventive maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, and sophisticated equipment operation.
- Assist in developing and implementing in-service training programs and train staff on anesthesia technologist roles and responsibilities.
- Set up and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment such as infusion pumps, nerve stimulators, defibrillators, and transport monitors.
Set up fiberoptic bronchoscopes with video monitors as needed.- Prepare rooms between cases, manage equipment carts, and execute full-service setup at the end of the day.
Ensure specialized anesthesia equipment is available for procedures outside the operating room.- Provide backup to the shift supervisor during their absence and perform additional duties as assigned by the management team.
