Summary :
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursingcare for the comfort and well-being of patients. The RegisteredNurse (RN) prepares equipment and assists physician duringexaminations and treatments.
The Registered Nurse (RN) administersprescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, andmonitors patient vital signs.
The Registered Nurse (RN) observesand maintains records on patient care, condition, reaction, andprogress.
The Registered Nurse (RN)participates as primary nurse, associate nurse, a team member orteam leader in the planning and implementing of patient care.
TheRegistered Nurse (RN) directs and assists in carrying out safeaseptic technique and procedures. The Registered Nurse (RN) offersleadership and direction to all support staff withindepartment.
The medical-surgical unitis a 36-bed unit that provides exceptional care for patients withchest tubes, tracheostomies, laryngectomies, and post-op care forvarious conditions, infections, COPD, pneumonia, and otherrespiratory disorders.
We also care for general medical-surgicalpatients. The mix of patients on this floor makes it a greatstarting point for nurses in our Residency Program and for nurseswho wish to become Certified in medical-surgical Nursing and workat the top of their license with this population of rewarding andchallenging patients.
We are a state-of-the-art hospital with abrand-new unit. We value the voice of our team and encourageparticipation and unit-based council in Shared Governance.

Requirements :
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursingcare.
- One-year experience in nursingpreferred.
- Current Texas State RN License
- CPR (American HeartAssociation)
