About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Hematology / Oncology Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 years of pediatric hematology oncology experience with central line management experience preferred License : CA RN license required Certifications : APHON, BLS, PALS Must-Have : Strong inpatient Hematology / Oncology background;
EPIC experience highly preferred but not required with strong background Job Description : Work in a 38-bed Hematology Inpatient unit handling cases such as BMT / Blood Cell transplantation, neuroblastoma, anemia, leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumor, hemophilia, ITP, sickle cell anemia, and other hemoglobinopathies.
- Perform IV therapy, sedation procedures, post-operation care, central lines, Hickman's, porta caths, and administer blood products and chemotherapeutic agents.
- Requires working 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period, primarily on Friday and Saturday for night shifts.- Travelers must be available to work during holidays.
- Flexibility to float within the hospital and to NICU satellite locations as needed.- Complete all required modules before start;
estimated time to complete modules is 6-8 hours.- Orientation comprises 12 hours and must be completed as part of the onboarding process.
Additional Notes : Mileage reimbursement provided for NICU and HomeCare positions when driving to locations other than the home base facility.
Comply with vaccine requirements; flu vaccine is required with no exemptions.- Includes a compliance deadline set for Wednesday prior to the start date.
