Job Title : Patient Intake Coordinator BOE
Location : Frisco, TX
Pay : $17 - 20 / hr
Schedule : Monday Friday, 8 : 00am to 5 : 00am
Job Description : Provides a range of entry-level intake and associated administrative services pertaining to patients being admitted to the hospital and / or treatment facility or receiving outpatient services.
Requirements :
Will obtain current and accurate demographics and insurance information in order to register patient, verification of insurance benefits and negotiate and collection patient financial responsibilities
Verifies patient eligibility for insurance coverage and appropriate benefit levels for anticipated services. Calculate and Collect all patient liability due according to BSW Financial Clearance Policies related to existing and / or bad debt accounts.
Determines patient liability and advises patient of deposit requirements per policy.
Negotiates payment arrangements with patient where necessary per policy.
Exhibits a high level of empathy with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and family members during traumatic events, while demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.
Maintain a professional demeanor in a highly stressful and emotional environment, to include crime, behavioral health and / or suffering patients in addition to life / death situations.
Qualifications :
HS diploma or GED required
Proof of flu vaccination is required for this specific job opportunity
Facility is tobacco-free, must be a non-smoker for this specific job
Ability to navigate multiple computer applications and screens
Knowledge of patient registration procedures and documentation
Knowledge of medical insurance claims procedures and documentation
Experience with HIPAA guidelines and regulations
