Job Description

General Purpose :

The Customer Service and Sales Representative is responsible for improving and assisting with the customer experience. The position is responsible for generating new business, updating website information, and establishing a great rapport with customers.

Major Duties and Responsibilities :

Supports Customer Service function by receiving incoming calls and emails and responding to customers with accurate information, communicating well verbally and in writing to provide customers with timely information.

o Processes customer transactions such as orders, quotes, or returns.

o Is the internal voice of the customer and communicates extremely well with co-workers.

o Presents price, credit, and terms in accordance with standard procedures.

Increases revenue by proactively contacting customers.

Contacts customers for feedback, information, to promote complementary products, and new sales.

Updates and maintains CRM database with relevant account and contact information.

Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions, participating in educational opportunities, and talking to customers.

Recommends new offers or offer adjustments to improve effectiveness.

Works with Sales and Marketing Manager and Customer Service Team to coordinate best practices, to share information, and be an engaged member of the Team.

Very proficient in writing, spelling, and communications with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Ability to quickly build rapport with strangers and understand when to change tactics accordingly.

Knowledge of or ability to learn about waterjet products, services, and applications.

Ability to transfer that knowledge to customers in an easy to understand format.

Ability to multi-task and self-driven to contribute where needed.

Very positive, action-oriented, and outgoing personality.

Equipment used :

Education / Experience and / or Training :

Degree in Communications or Marketing or work experience equivalent.

A minimum of 2 years relevant Customer Service and / or Sales experience.

Working knowledge of MS Office suite applications and Shopify.
