About the role
We are looking for a Systems Engineer to participate in the system design aspects of our Electric Propulsion Units, including system processes, system definition, requirements collection, flow down, and V&V.
P rimary Responsibilities
- Be involved in systems engineering activities to develop, integrate, and qualify our electric propulsion systems
- Develop test procedures for hardware-in-the-loop bench testing and engine test cell testing
- Perform requirements-based verification activities, supporting team members and contractors
- Prepare the Test Request documents, Verification Test Reports (VTR), and Traceability Matrix.
- Work with internal and external teams, customers, and suppliers throughout our product development cycle to manage requirements plans, system validation, and verification.
- Support the validation, verification, and testing plan execution for DO-178, DO-254, DO-160, and FAA regulatory compliance
- Manage the requirements change process, identifying customers' priorities and recording conflicts between individual requirements
Qualifications
- BS in Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Level III : 4 to 7 years of Systems Engineering experience in requirements lifecycle management and development for aerospace applications or similar safety-critical industry
- Level IV : 7+ years of Systems Engineering experience in requirements lifecycle management and development for aerospace applications or similar safety-critical industry
- Knowledge and understanding of systems engineering practices per ARP4754A
- Experience with a broad array of engineering tools / languages
- Experience in Control Software, SCADE, JAMA, DOORS and MATLAB
- Excellent organizational, planning, and follow-up skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively with others experience in conflict management

Employer work visa sponsorship and support are not provided for this role. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at hire and must maintain authorization to work in the United States throughout their employment without the assistance of magniX.
Location
Applicants must be willing and able to commute to magniX's location in Everett, Washington. Relocation is not offered for this role.

This position's approximate base salary range is $115,000 - $130,000 per year for a Level III Engineer, and $130,000 - $150,000 per year for a Level IV Engineer.
Salary further determined by candidate experience and education.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.
F.R. 120.15 is required. Under 120.15, a U.S. Person includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees.
As this position requires access to export-controlled data, an appropriate export authorization by the U.S. Government may be required prior to such access.
