We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Vice President of Strategic Development to join our executive team and drive our growth initiatives.

The Vice President of Strategic Development will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to expand our market presence and drive growth in net income.
In this role, you will identify, collaboratively evaluate, and facilitate the onboarding of senior care and living communities for either acquisition or management by Cassia.
The individual will also coordinate the components of our strategic planning process. This role requires a strong understanding of the senior living industry, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve company growth targets.
- Manage lifecycle of business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic partnerships.
- Conduct due diligence to assess the viability and risks of potential transactions.
- Work closely with various departments, including finance, legal, operations, clinical, and HR to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
- Maintain positive relationships with existing 3rd party management / owners and follow-up on topics overlapping the contract (Ops manages day to day).
- Pursue growth in new and existing markets.
- Create strategic growth within new and existing service lines.
- Lead negotiations with potential partners, buyers, or sellers to secure favorable terms.
- Establish an internal protocol and metrics by which project priorities and viability are evaluated, including appropriate integration of key stakeholders.
Strategic Initiative
- Foster a culture of innovation within the organization and industry stakeholders, including investors, operators, and community organizations.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of strategic initiatives and projects.
- Track and analyze the performance of strategic initiatives.
- Lead market research efforts to understand trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
- Prepare and present business proposals and strategic plans to the executive team and board of directors.
- Acts as the staff liaison to the Strategic Planning Committee of the Cassia Board of Directors.
Requirements :
- 10+ years of experience in business development, operations and / or sales leadership, preferably within the senior living or healthcare sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully driving growth and achieving sales targets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and develop actionable strategies.
- Current knowledge of state and federal regulations within the sector.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent skills in problem definition and resolution.
- Thorough understanding of all payer sources.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders.
