Business Analyst

Job Description

GENERAL DUTIES :

• Collaborate with business units to understand their technology needs and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Analyze business processes and systems to recommend enhancements that support business objectives and increase efficiency.
• Serve as a liaison between the IT department and business units, facilitating communication and project alignment.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system requirements, processes, and workflows.
• Provide support and training to business users on new and existing technologies and systems.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of IT projects, ensuring they meet the business needs and are delivered on time.
• Monitor and report on the performance of business systems, identifying issues and recommending solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and policies, particularly regarding the handling and processing of sensitive and classified information.
• Conduct detailed business and systems analysis to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
• Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure technology solutions align with business goals.
• Lead training sessions for staff on new systems, processes, and technologies to enhance business operations.
• Coordinate with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure business systems are secure and compliant with federal and organizational standards.

Required Skills

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business support or business analyst role, preferably within a government or technology-focused organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and provide concise, actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of working effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Proficiency in business intelligence tools, databases, and MS Office Suite.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required. A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a focus on business support, analysis, or IT project management in a government or technology-driven environment.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
