We are looking for an experienced AfterSchool Teacher & School Bus Driver to join our team! You will be responsible for operating the school bus while being attentive to traffic and weather conditions while staying on schedule and ensuring the safety of the children.

Schedule :

• 12 : 00 pm - 6 : 00 pm M-F (Typically)
• Flexible hours when students are out of school for holidays(Example : 8 : 00 am - 5 : 30 pm / 8 : 30 am - 6 : 00 pm)
• Will be required to work full-time during the summer

After School Teacher Responsibilities :

• Supervise Activities : Oversee children during playtime and structured activities, ensuring their safety and engagement.
• Plan and Implement Activities : Create and execute educational and recreational activities that promote learning and social skills.
• Support Homework and Learning : Assist students with any homework or learning tasks, reinforcing concepts introduced during the day.
• Foster a Positive Environment : Encourage positive behavior and social interactions among children, promoting a sense of community.
• Communicate with Parents : Provide updates to parents about their child’s day, behavior, and any concerns that may arise.
• Maintain a Clean and Safe Space : Ensure that the classroom and play areas are tidy, safe, and well-organized.
• Promote Inclusion : Adapt activities to ensure all children, regardless of ability, can participate and feel included.
• Implement Behavioral Guidelines : Enforce school rules and behavioral expectations, guiding children in conflict resolution when necessary.
• Engage in Continuous Learning : Stay informed about early childhood education trends and techniques, attending training as needed.

Bus Responsibilities :

• Pick up students at regularly scheduled school locations, following strict time schedules
• Follow safety rules as students board and exit buses or cross streets near bus stops
• Comply with traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner
• Report any bus malfunctions or needed repairs
• Check the condition of a vehicle's tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order

Minimum Qualifications :

• Valid Texas Drivers License
• Clean driving record
• Must be able to pass Texas Background Check
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Desired Qualifications :

• 1 Year of working with children
• 1 year of Bus Driver experience
