Summary :

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistants to join our team. We have offices in Plano, Frisco, and McKinney.
As a Medical Assistant at Village Health Partners, you will play a crucial role in supporting clinical operations and ensuring a smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities :
- Manage patient rooming to efficiently meet daily appointment schedules
- Review presenting issue, visit history, orders, and update EMR appropriately
- Assist Physician or Advanced Practitioner with examinations or procedures
- Obtain vital signs and prep patient for visit
- Fluent in medical terminology & medication refill protocols
- Assist with scheduling appointments, answering phones, and updating patient records
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment
- Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, clinic environment
- Appropriately escalate issues outside of existing protocols to meet patient needs
- Follow all HIPAA and privacy rules while discussing sensitive health information with the patient or their authorized delegates
- Meet performance and service level criteria as defined in "Performance Metrics"
- Work well with a diverse group of professionals in a team environment
Qualifications :
- 1-3 years related experience, preferably in a Primary Care office setting
- Certified Medical Assistant - must be active and current
- Athena EMR experience a plus
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience in properly handling confidential and sensitive information; knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations
- Experience with basic desktop software, medical practice management, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
