edu and VISION 2020.Who You AreAs a part-time instructor in the Health and Wellness Department, you provide lab instruction in all levels of the EMS, including developmental and / or transfer levels.

Course assignments will be made based on experience. You work individually, as well as in collaboration with colleagues, to develop innovative curriculum which meets the needs of our diverse population of students.

Student retention and success is your top priority. You will utilize technology and effective teaching strategies to develop students' critical thinking skills.

You may be asked to teach at different times, locations and modalities to meet the needs of the College. SELECTION PROCESS : This is an open applicant pool.

Applicants will be contacted based on the needs of the College. Preliminary screening will be made on the basis of completed application package submitted by candidate.

Completed application package includes : A resume; A letter of interest; A copy of official transcripts; A one-page statement of your teaching philosophy;

and A list of courses and the semesters you have taught.Please note : This is an on-campus position. You need to be a Colorado resident on your first day of employment.

SALARY : The pay range for Part-Time Instructors varies, depending on the type of course, the contact ratio and contact hours, as well as your level of education and years of teaching.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION / TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE : A related Associate's (or relevant current industry license or certification) and 4000 verified occupational / industry hours within 5 years;

OR, a related Bachelor's or any Master's degree with 18 discipline related credits and 4000 verified occupational / industry hours within 5 years.

AND, State of Colorado EMT Registration Certification Related Degree, Credential, and / or Occupational Experience in : Emergency Medical Care, Colorado EMT Registration Certification, or Paramedic PREFERRED EDUCATION / TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE : Completion of the EMS Instructor Course.

Part-Time InstructorsPart-Time Instructors are eligible for sick leave. You will earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked.

PERA is the 21st largest public pension plan in the United States and is a substitute for Social Security; FRCC employees do not contribute to Social Security.

PERA eligible employees are required to contribute a fixed percentage of their salary to the pension. Student employees are not eligible to participate in PERA.
