Job Summary :
The Maintenance Person at La Quinta Inn & Suites By Wyndham Seattle Sea-Tac Airport is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of the hotel's facilities and equipment.
As a key member of our team, the Maintenance Person will work closely with other departments to ensure that guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay at our hotel.
This is a full-time, individual contributor role in the hospitality / restaurant industry, located in Seattle, Washington.
Compensation & Benefits :
The compensation for this role is $19 to $21 per hour, paid semimonthly. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career growth within our company.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the hotel by performing routine and deep cleaning tasks in guest rooms, public areas, and back of house areas
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to identify and address maintenance issues
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing plumbing issues, and repairing furniture and equipment
- Assist with the upkeep and maintenance of the hotel's landscaping and outdoor areas
- Maintain and organize inventory of supplies and equipment
- Respond promptly and effectively to guest requests and concerns
- Follow all safety procedures and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and utilized
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the management team
- Communicate and work closely with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and a seamless guest experience
Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a hospitality or customer service environment
- Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures and techniques
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and climbing
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work
- Able to pass a background check and drug screening
