Join the team of the hottest restaurant in East Cobb. Work with local ingredients and aspiring chefs in an all scratch kitchen, under the direction of the Georgia Restaurant Association's Restaurateur of the Year, Chef Doug Turbush.
Summary of Position :
Working closely with Sous Chefs and the Executive chef, the line cook can execute our cuisine at a very high level to our exacting standards day in and day out.
Accurately and efficiently cook menu items, prepares and maintains assigned stations, and follows all plate preparation and portioning guidelines.
This position will adhere to all standards for food safety and quality control. This position requires a self-motivated individual that is eager to further their career in the restaurant industry.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma, or GED. One year on the job experience in restaurant kitchens. Formal culinary arts training is preferred but not necessary.
Ability to work under pressure, self-motivated, strong verbal communication skills. Ability to lift 50lbs.

- Operate day-to-day with food safety mindset, including safety in the kitchen
- Prep and cook the following recipes, and make sure your dish tastes good!
- Lead, manage, and be accountable for your station (s)
Basic Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote, work and acts in accordance with Seed Hospitality Group Core Purpose and Core Values,
- The company policies as described in the employee handbook, and Work procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized station and strictly adheres to Cobb County Food Safety Regulations. This includes walk ins, prep kitchen and dry storage, and outdoors.
- Maintain good personal hygiene keeps a clean appearance, clean coat, pants, hats and shoes.
- Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of all equipment in the kitchen.
- Know our timing standards and execute food orders within those stated limits.
- Consistently and accurately follows our recipes to our standards, including properly portion food products prior to cooking following standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
- Knows and consistently follows our cooking methods, temperatures, and quality standards.
- Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
- Taste the food you serve use proper tasting spoon method.
- Handles, stores, labels and rotates all products properly.
- Stocks, restocks and maintains sufficient levels of mise en place at line station.
- Prepares and completes assigned prep lists and assists in any food preparation assignment during the off-peak periods.
- Closes the kitchen properly following the closing checklist and assists others.
- Attends all daily lineups and brings suggestions for improvement.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Chef or manager-on-duty.
- Be on time or early for each shift.
