Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Cardiac Telemetry Job Duration : 13 weeks (with possible extension until March 15, 2025) Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (18 : 45 - 07 : 15) Guaranteed Hours : 36 or 48 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years License : Valid state license or Compact license Certifications : ACLS Must-Have : - Telemetry AND PCU / DOU / IMC / Stepdown experience - Interpretation of dysrhythmias and remote monitoring - Pre / Post Cardiac Cath, Pre / Post Cardiac Surgery, and Sheath Removal experience - Accessing ports, Blood Product Administration, central Line / care management - PICC line management - Cardiac drip-titrate Diltiazem and Amiodarone Job Description : - Work in a unit that monitors cardiac patients.
- Administer medications using Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR systems. - Handle special procedures like Cardiac Drips (Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine), Sheath Pulls, TR Bands, and Femstop.
- Provide care for patients with diagnoses such as Congestive Heart Failure, Arrhythmias, and Post cardiac Cath. - Participate as a member of Storm Team or Hurricane Team as needed.
- Must be flexible to float to other units or nearby affiliated hospitals. - Self-scheduling with a weekend requirement of 5-6 shifts equating to every other weekend.
- Work during major holidays is required, with a maximum of 7 days off for request time off not falling on these holidays.
- Complete unit orientation program over 24 hours. - Required to wear Navy scrubs. - Must pass EKG Testing prior to start.
- Participate in mandatory non-billable modules, estimated between 8-10 hours for acute care roles.
