The Physical Therapist Assistant will assist Physical Therapists with providing therapeutic healthcare services to patients.

Part-time role, Monday-Friday with flexibility on late days and early mornings out of our St. Paul location.

Viverant Physical Therapy is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions :

  • Provides treatment to patients as directed by the Physical Therapist
  • Provide therapeutic massage
  • Observe patients and evaluate data on patient’s progress
  • Instructs families and caregiver on maintenance programs as directed by the Physical Therapist
  • Answer phones, order supplies, complete forms
  • Prepare detailed and comprehensive daily notes that support treatment charges
  • Notify supervising Physical Therapist of any patient status change or poor tolerance to treatment
  • Use and set-up modalities including Ultrasound, Traction, E-stim, Iontophoresis, and MedX
  • Any and all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements :

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited PTA program; or equivalent experience
  • Would like Pilates training or willing to train in Pilates.
  • Currently licensed as Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of MN or state in which practicing
  • Orthopedic and Sports Medicine experience required
  • Strong Sports background preferred
  • Athletic Training or Personal Training experience preferred
  • Pilates Training / Certification preferred

Essential Requirements :

Ability to :

  • Comply with company policies, procedures, practices and business ethics guidelines.
  • Complete job required training.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
  • Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
  • Work in the clinic, office or surgery center during business hours
  • Travel independently throughout the clinic, office or surgery center (which may include movement from floor to floor);

frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required

  • Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
  • Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
  • Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations
  • Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Understand and execute a variety of instructions
  • Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Travel to other work locations, if required
