Thisis a role that reports directly to theExecutive Vice President for the Point of Care (POC) business line the Sr. Vice President, Global Supply Chainand Manufacturing will provide strategicand operating leadership over the business line’s operations includingmanufacturing plants in USA, Canada, United Kingdom and India, for bothinstruments and reagents.

The role oversees approximately 800 FTEs andleads global planning in addition to external / third party manufacturing.

Accordingly, the role includes thefollowing core leadership responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute astrategic plan for the POC supply chain function including, site optimization, processes,organization, and technology.
  • Foster strongrelationships with Commercial, Customer Services, Quality, R&D with a focuson customer orientation, business process excellence, financial and peopleleadership.

Be a strategic and valued voice on the POC leadership team.

  • Manage currentday-to-day supply chain operations to enable flawless execution in support ofcontinued revenue growth.
  • Continuously optimizethe supply chain driving financial performance through efficient operations.
  • Drive outsourcingstrategy and the management of contract manufactures and third-party serviceproviders.
  • Build a strong talentbench in the supply chain organization globally, collaborate with peers ontalent development.
  • Work closely with the POC leadership team tocontribute to the growth strategies and operational plans of the business.
  • Define the operating approach to transition newproducts from R&D to production.
  • Develop and execute on a strategy for outsourcedmanufacturing operations where and when appropriately aligned with theircommercial plans.
  • Hands-on strategic leadership of supply chainmanagement, including negotiation, strategic planning and forecasting, costreduction initiatives, quality control and consistent supply chain operations.
  • Ensure implementation of quality managementsystems / processes in support of manufacturing.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking an exceptional integrated supply chainexecutive with experience leading complex global operations and who will bringthe drive and passion for developing high-performance capabilities and teams.

This executive will have the following experiences and personal qualities :

  • 15+ years of experience in supply chain andmanufacturing leadership from diagnostics-focused companies with complexity andscale.
  • A Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Engineering orBusiness, is required; an MBA is preferred.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma and Green Belt orBlack Belt certification is preferred.
  • Inspirational leadership qualities, ability tomotivate others to follow a common goal.
  • Successful professional track record andexecutive leadership trajectory, responsible for substantial mission-criticaloperations facing significant increase in demands or change in past leadershiproles.
  • Proven success in applying sophisticatedmanufacturing management practices and in optimizing and reducing the cost ofmanufacturing and the end-to-end supply chain.
  • Ability to drive and promote operationalexcellence rigor throughout the organization, and additionally bring aleadership style that drives customer centricity to everything the supply chainorganization does.
  • Excellent communication skills including oral,written, presentation and ability to work cross-functionally to insure weprovide exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Deep understanding of accounting, reporting, andannual budgeting.
  • Proven track record of building and retaining worldclass leadership teams and driving engagement through the organization whilemanaging, developing, and growing a diverse workforce.
