Large Northbrook based automotive manufacturer specializing in CNC and multi-spindle precision machining is seeking a Gage Technician.
We are seeking an experienced candidate proficient with :
- Ensuring all gages and test equipment are calibrated against standards of NIST
- Identifying measurement system reliability, evaluating results and reporting findings
- Maintaining organized work area, gage records and documenting gages being checked in / out
- Vendor coordination of returns and repairs, properly disposing / quarantining substandard gages
- Recording, updating and documenting quality data
- Determining production disposition through analysis, data interpretation and customer requirements
- Following and enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
- Preparing PPAP, setup and start-up, in-process and final audit production inspection
- Contributing to team, company and QS goals by initiating continuous improvement, accomplishing related results as required and working effectively with other employees and departments
- Strong communication and team building skills a must!
