Job Title : Sr - Material Review Board Design / Liaison Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design / Liaison Engineer for our Material Review Board. This role is integral to our client's operations, contributing significantly to the quality and integrity of their spacecraft structures.
Key Responsibilities :
- Thoroughly documenting non-conformance tags associated with spacecraft structures, ensuring all discrepancies are accurately recorded for future reference and resolution
- Conducting comprehensive analyses of variations to part print specifications that may impact the form, fit, and function of parts, thereby ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance
- Evaluating and recommending appropriate actions for the disposition of parts, contributing to the efficient and effective management of resources
- Assessing non-conformance areas in relation to defects identified during the manufacturing process, providing valuable insights for process improvement
- Performing design engineering analysis of discrepant machined parts within an aerospace manufacturing facility, contributing to the overall quality and safety of our client's products
- Conducting a variety of analyses, including but not limited to tolerance stacks, stress, metallurgical, aerodynamic, dynamic, NDT, and heat transfer, to ensure the highest standards of engineering are maintained
Required Qualifications and Skills :
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering from a recognized institution
- A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience with aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicles, demonstrating a strong understanding of the industry and its challenges
- Prior experience with new aircraft or spacecraft fabrication is highly desirable, as it will provide a strong foundation for understanding our client's operations
- Previous experience with aircraft MRO is also highly desirable, as it will contribute to the candidate's ability to effectively manage and resolve issues
