Description :
- Ensures safety for all employees on shift and maintains OSHA standards
- Works closely with leads, operators, and cross functional team support to ensure all products meet Trevco’s high quality standards
- Conducts admin tasks for shift production employees such as but not limited to hourly timecard approval, hourly PTO, hourly attendance policy tracking and accountability.
- Works with production (PLANT) manager on hourly employee accountability and coaching
- Provides leads and operators with daily production plans and support to achieve them
- Responsible for managing employee headcount on shift and all KPI’s that are impacted by it
- Ensures staffing is sufficient to achieve all forecasted volume
- Ability to adapt and adjust as production needs change in order to maintain KPI’s and marketplace expectations given any volume required daily
- Ensures Shift is maintaining marketplace production metrics
- Ensures efficiencies (units per labor hour) are met within each production cell or category
- Ability to motivate employees and advocate for employee development and future growth
- Ability to take on any additional tasks that may be required to ensure plant success
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Producing and shipping :
o Oversee production staff including leads, operators and shippers
o Responsible for maintaining KPI’s for the shift and ensuring daily vendor compliance is met
o Maintain an hourly performance board and display for the team
o Maintain cleanliness of machinery, workstations and production spaces
o Obsess over organization of production space, operating stations, shipping stations
o Make suggestions for productivity improvements
o Hold daily meetings with leads to ensure goals are set and daily expectations are met
o Communicate end of day production results to plant manager and other shift production leaders
o Work with technicians to ensure machine up-time is front of mind
People Management :
o Supervise the shifts team including leads, operators, and shippers
o Build production staff thru hiring, training, and evaluating new employees
o Motivate and disciplining staff, including annual reviews
o Communicate with other departments (Purchasing, Warehousing, Customer Service, etc.) to ensure visibility of all inventory related challenges and to process any requests
