About The Position
Title : Respiratory Therapist, ICU
Job Type : Permanent
Location : Grapevine, TX
Shift : Nights (12-hour shifts)
Responsibilities :
- Perform respiratory assessments and implement appropriate interventions for patients in the ICU.
- Administer oxygen, aerosolized medications, and mechanical ventilation as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and adjust ventilator settings to optimize patient oxygenation and ventilation.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised respiratory care plans.
- Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions and treatment options.
Requirements :
- The completion of an accredited respiratory therapy programme is required.
- Current licensure as a respiratory therapist in Texas.
- Previous experience in the ICU or critical care setting is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
