Physical Therapist - Ft Dodge Home Health

Full-time, Daytime hours 8am-4 : 30pm

Monday-Friday 8am-4 : 30pm

Responsibilities

Patient Care / Care Coordination

oTreatment and disease management

oMedications purpose, use, side effects, potential adverse effects

oProper use, safety hazards, and infection control issues related to the use and maintenance of any equipment provided

oPatient plan of care

oEmergency preparedness

oPhases of physical therapy in which they may assist and use of prosthetic and orthotic devices and medical and adaptive equipment

Home Care Performance Criteria

Qualifications\n\nGraduate of a Physical Therapist education program approved by The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), a successor organization of CAPTE, or an education program outside the United States determined to be substantially equivalent to physical therapist entry-level education in the United States by a credentials evaluation organization approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.\nPassed an examination for Physical Therapists approved by the state in which physical therapy services are provided.\nLicensed as a PT by the state in which practicing, unless licensure does not apply within state regulation\nOne year experience caring for similar patient population as to be assigned.\nBasic knowledge of current, frequently used medications, including modes of administration, actions and side effects.\nAble to perform physical therapy assessment and treatment in the home setting without direct supervision.\nStrong interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work as a collaborative team member.\nAbility to understand and apply guidelines, policies and procedures.\nAbility to navigate and perform basic use of Microsoft Office products.\nMaintains a reliable mode of transportation and has the ability to drive safely during all day and night hours and in all types of inclement weather.\nState License Requirements\nIowa\nCompact Allowed
