Job Title : Staff Accountant (Direct Hire)

Location : Charlotte, NC (28217)

Type : Full-time, Direct Hire

Salary Range : $55,000 - $65,000 annually (depending on experience)

About the Role :

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in the Charlotte area.

This position is ideal for an accounting professional with a strong foundational knowledge in financial reporting, general ledger activities, and reconciliation.

As a Staff Accountant, you will play an essential role in the day-to-day accounting functions, supporting the accounting team, and ensuring timely, accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare and manage monthly journal entries, general ledger postings, and reconciliation processes.

Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely completion.

Maintain and analyze balance sheet schedules, income statement accounts, and ledgers.

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.

Prepare accurate financial reports and statements, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory standards.

Support annual audit and tax processes by preparing schedules and documentation.

Collaborate with other departments for efficient transaction processing and reporting.

Assist in the development and improvement of internal accounting controls and processes.

Participate in special projects as needed.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in accounting roles, ideally within a mid-sized or larger organization.

Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) and Microsoft Excel.

Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial data management.

Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications :

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate is a plus.

Experience in a manufacturing or similar industry environment is advantageous.
