About The Position
Job Title : Social Worker Job Specialty : Social Work Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8H Days, Monday-Friday 0800-1630 Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years License : Must hold LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) or MSW (Master of Social Work) with a CA license Certifications : BLS required Must-Have : Recent behavioral health and case management experience.
Experience in an inpatient behavioral health setting is crucial. Must be comfortable with admission and discharge assessments, as well as family meetings.
Job Description : Provide social work services to a caseload of up to 15 patients per day in an inpatient behavioral health setting.
- Conduct occasional consults in the emergency department or medical floor as needed.- Participate in treatment team meetings and coordinate care with external resources.
- Maintain unit core measures and participate in discharge planning.- Work effectively with the Behavioral Health Director and Care Coordination Director.
- Adhere to the business casual dress code, wearing a lab coat.- Meet the holiday requirement as coordinated with current social work staff.
- Complete 3-5 days of department-specific orientation with current staff.- Utilize Cerner EMR system for charting.- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients and their families.
Please note that scheduling adjustments for holidays will be arranged with the existing social work team.
