Position Summary :
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic performs essential work in the operation, predictive and preventative maintenance, and repair of the facility's infrastructure, power industrial trucks, and plant utility systems.
This includes maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring efficiency, reducing costs, and maintaining product quality.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform skilled operation and maintenance tasks for facility property, trucks, and utility systems.
- Follow and uphold Client's safety, attendance, and GMP policies.
- Proactively support plant operations, including setup, breakdown, and log maintenance.
- Maximize plant efficiencies while maintaining product quality and reducing costs.
- Accurately change out parts and maintain mechanical inventory.
- Complete lubrication, conveyor belt repairs, motor and gearbox replacement, fork truck & pallet jack maintenance.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment promptly.
- Maintain thorough records of activities, report issues, and document log sheets.
Non-Negotiable Requirements :
- Minimum of 3 years of mechanic work experience or completion of an industrial maintenance training program.
- Ability to work in a cold, wet, and humid environment with temperatures from 35 to 50 degrees.
- Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Preferred Skills :
- Ability to use measurement devices and perform predictive and preventative maintenance.
- Capable of working efficiently under time constraints.
Physical Requirements :
- Able to stand, sit, and use hands to handle or feel for most of the shift.
- Ability to lift and move weights up to 45 lbs frequently, 50 lbs regularly, and 100 lbs occasionally.
- Capacity to push / pull up to 300 lbs regularly.
- Frequent stair climbing, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
