Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to coordinate Regional Manufacturing's overall service operations and performance regarding order fulfillment to include but not limited to, delivery control, scheduling lead-time, product lead-time, and material delivery.

Also, to communicate information flow of all data, results, and status of the aforementioned areas.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all customer orders from a line-item production detail level to a comprehensive complete order ship level communicating with customers (internal & external) throughout the process.
  • Coordinate the flow of finished goods to the shipping process by established guidelines to ensure customer satisfaction regarding complete material delivery.
  • Communicates Delivery Control service through process notifications, departmental open delay notices, production exception reporting, timely delay acknowledgments to customers (internal & external), and any other areas relevant to Delivery Control.
  • Synchronizes the schedule and delivery of fabricated product, profile product and parts to shipping based on but not limited to the following matters : longest lead-time item, complete shipment required, partial shipment allowed, item priority receive required, customer special request, etc.
  • Work closely with sales and operations leader to maintain and enhance an efficient team structure to support the business requirements.
  • Maintains all order status information regarding open orders in scheduling application in an easily understandable format for customers (internal & external).
  • Partners with Operations Manager, Shipping, and Sales Team to coordinate activities around slow moving will-call orders and material.
  • Effectively and professionally communicates with Production Team (Shipping and Fabrication) regarding current schedules.
  • Calculates KPI Reports including, but not limited to Actual Lead-time, Scheduling Lead-Time, and Delivery Control, and Inventory Metrics.
  • Create and manage Purchase Order(s) for items requiring direct shipment to customers.
  • Acts as liaison between customers, sales, and manufacturing regarding responding to all inquiries regarding all non-technical aspects of orders in the facility.
  • Prepares production reports for graphical analysis by Management on future load capacities and performance.
  • Coordinates and processes all change orders, delay notices, cancellations, and move-up requests. This will be supported by the Operations Manager, Production, Shipping, and Sales Team.
  • Other duties to be assigned as deemed necessary by local management.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), required
  • Must be competent with areas of Capacity Planning, Material Handling in a production facility and fabrication.
  • Associate degree from College or University plus six months to one year of related experience and / or training, preferred.
  • Very Strong working knowledge and application of computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office Word, Power Point, and Excel.

Must also possess acceptable typing and keyboard skills.
