About The Position

Job Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified OB / GYN physician to provide hospital call coverage in Ohio. This opportunity offers a well-balanced mix of obstetrics and gynecology, excellent nursing / midwife support, and travel reimbursement.

Position Details

Setting : Hospital-based | 90% Labor & Delivery focus

Reason for Coverage : Growth and provider vacancy

Coverage Dates : TBD (as soon as credentialed)

Call Schedule : Two weekends per month (Fri–Sun)

Call Ratio : 1 : 4 currently

Hospital Beds : 205 total | 34 beds across L&D / Postpartum / Triage

Physicians in Group : 4

APP Coverage : 1 APP per 12-hr shift

Onsite Services : Lab & Ultrasound

EMR : Epic

Patient & Practice Mix

Pregnancy Risk Mix : 60% low risk | 40% high risk

GYN vs OB : 60% GYN | 40% OB

Average GYN Surgeries : ~5 / day

C-section Rate : ~1 per day

Nursery : Level II | Avg 4 admissions / day

Required OB Procedures

Management of low & high-risk pregnancies

Fetal Heart Rate interpretation (NST / CST / FSE)

OB ultrasounds – performance & interpretation

Routine vaginal deliveries

Complicated deliveries (C-sections, breech, multiples, abruptions, VBACs)

Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations

Required GYN Procedures

Open & laparoscopic surgical gynecology

Diagnostic / minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOAs, chromopertubation)

Operative / major procedures (ectopic pregnancy, oophorectomy, cystectomy, extensive LOAs)

Compensation & Logistics

Pay Rate : Competitive (discussed at submission)

Credentialing Timeline : 30–90 days

Travel & Lodging : Flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage reimbursed

Economy / standard travel bookings covered

Malpractice : Comprehensive coverage provided

Active OH License (or willing to obtain)
