We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team based in MARYVILLE, Tennessee. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, focusing on critical accounting functions such as managing invoices, handling ACH payments, and payroll data collection.
You will be instrumental in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations while also contributing to our growth.
Responsibilities :
- Full cycle management of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Daily posting of cash transactions and reconciliation of any discrepancies.
- Maintain the general ledger for payable and receivable accounts.
- Ensure accurate and efficient handling of ACH payments.
- Assist in month and year-end closings and compile related reports.
- Manage cash flow and prepare regular forecasts.
- Conduct payroll data collection in collaboration with ADP.
- Support progress billing, sales tax calculation, and reporting.
- Apply GAAP guidelines in financial reporting.
- Supervise one employee from another department.
- Possession of a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role.
- Demonstrable proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Proven expertise in performing Bank Reconciliations.
- Familiarity with maintaining General Ledger.
- Experience in creating and maintaining Journal Entries.
- Ability to conduct Month End Close procedures effectively.
- Experience with Oracle software is desirable.
- Proficiency in using ADP for Payroll purposes.
- Prior experience in managing Benefits Payroll.
- Familiarity with 401k and RRSP Administration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
- Professional accounting certification, such as CPA, is a plus.
