What You'll Do :
Overview : as part of the Expense Planning team, this position is responsible for conducting Cost-Benefit Analyses (CBA) to assess economic viability.
The role also involves supporting annual expense budgeting, forecasting, and the overall management of expenses in collaboration with the team.
- CBA Process : Assist in analyzing projects, calculating costs, benefits, and projected IRRs. Support the project team in presenting to the CBA committee.
- Annual Budgeting and Forecasting : Contribute to the annual expense budgeting and forecasting process for Life, P&C, and Enterprise businesses.
Analyze allocations by company and profit center. Provide updates and training to cost center owners.
- Overhead Expense Analysis : Review and analyze overhead expenses as part of the annual budget process.
- Finance Liaison : Serve as a finance liaison, supporting technology, marketing, sales distribution, and project office groups.
- Reporting and Analysis : Prepare monthly variance reports, including forecasting support and ad hoc projects like headcount reports, project pipeline tracking, and project result tracking.
Assist with quarterly commission expense reporting and analysis.
Budget Tool Administration : Administer the Workday Adaptive Planning budget tool, managing access, designing reports, writing formulas, working with restructures and realignments, and learning to troubleshoot issues.

Required Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Experience : 3-5 years of accounting experience, including exposure to expense analysis
Preferred Qualifications :
- Certifications : CPA designation
- Experience :
- Public accounting experience
- Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Experience supporting shared functional groups as a finance expert or liaison
- Skills :
- Exceptional communication skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate financial concepts clearly and concisely.
- Professionalism : Proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, including senior executives.
- Strong technical skills : Proficiency in Excel, other accounting software, and financial analysis tools.
- Knowledge of Adaptive Insights, BPC 10.0, SAP Accounting, internal structures, and master data file maintenance
Additional Information :
Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, or expense analysis is a plus.
