Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Epic EMR and C-section experience for a rotating call and weekend schedule.

Responsibilities

Position located in a hospital Operating Room setting

10-hour day shifts with rotating weekly and weekend call requirements

Work schedule includes every other weekend or as adjusted for patient care needs

Assignment duration is up to 25 weeks

Travelers are required to work 2 out of the 4 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day

Epic EMR is utilized and recent experience with Epic is required

OR RNs with strong circulating skills will be considered, though scrub experience is highly preferred

No block scheduling allowed for any reason

Bi-weekly orientation available on Mondays

Holiday coverage required for assigned holidays

Travelers may be required to adjust their schedules to meet the needs of the unit

Candidates should be prepared for inclement weather due to the location

Requirements

Active VT or compact RN license required

AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required

Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience required

Previous travel nursing experience required

Experience performing C-sections is required

Recent experience with Epic EMR within the past 2 years is nonnegotiable

Reliable personal vehicle or rental vehicle is strongly recommended due to lack of public transportation

Vehicles should be equipped with all season or snow tires from November through April
