We are currently seeking a IT Risk Manager to join our team in McLean, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

NTT DATA is seeking a highly experienced and analytical Risk Manager to lead and oversee the risk management for a federal IT government program.

The Risk Manager will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with IT operations, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and enhancing the overall security posture of the organization.

This role requires a deep understanding of risk management principles, federal regulations, and IT infrastructure, with a focus on protecting the organization's information assets and ensuring the continuity of operations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for risk management activities during audits, assessments, and regulatory reviews, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
  • Lead the response to risk events, coordinating with relevant teams to manage incidents, mitigate impact, and recover from disruptions.
  • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive risk management program tailored to the needs of a federal IT enterprise, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and federal regulations.
  • Identify and assess risks related to IT operations, including cybersecurity threats, data breaches, system failures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of current risk management strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with IT, security, and business teams to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies that reduce the likelihood and impact of identified risks.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations and standards related to risk management, including FISMA, NIST, and other relevant guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain risk management policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring they are up-to-date and reflect best practices.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to staff on risk management principles, regulatory requirements, and their roles in maintaining a secure IT environment.
  • Monitor emerging threats and trends in IT risk management, incorporating them into the organization's risk management strategies.
  • Report on the status of the risk management program to senior management and federal stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for enhancing the organization's risk posture.
  • Support the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring they are integrated with the overall risk management strategy.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 3 years' experience managing Risk Initiatives for a large federal government agency
  • Thorough understanding of the NIST 800-37 Risk Framework
  • 7 years of experience managing risk management programs, risk management tools, methodologies, and frameworks for federal government IT program,
  • 5 years experience in a leadership role within a federal government IT program.
  • 5 years experience with IT audit processes, incident management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of federal regulations and standards related to IT risk management, including FISMA, NIST, and other relevant guidelines.
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), or equivalent.
