Description
POSITION SUMMARY : Provides behavioral health clinical services forpatients across a variety of settings, including the hospital,emergency department, primary care and ambulatory behavioral healthoffices.

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION : At aminimum, a Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling isrequired
CERTIFICATION / LICENSES : A provisional license in the State of NewMexico as a LMSW or LMHC. Completion of prevention and managementof aggressive behavior course within 2 months. BLS within 6months.
SKILLS :
- Ability to workindependently on own accord and initiative, yet as a teammember
- Strong communication and interpersonalskills
- Advanced behavioral health assessmentand referral skills
- Ability to deal with alltypes of patients with behavioral health conditions
- Understanding of crisis intervention theory, casemanagement, and referral process
- Knowledge ofpsychopathology and ICD-10 diagnoses
- Abilityto coordinate with multiple departments and community resources toreach interdisciplinary treatment goals.
- Provide evidence based solution focused therapeuticinterventions
- Ability to develop and leadtherapeutic groups such as cognitive behavioral, psychoeducational,DBT and supportive therapy sessions
- Formulatestreatment plans in conjunction with rest of treatmentteam
- Ability to assess clients in an emergencysituation and initiate transfer to higher level of care whenneeded.
- Flexibility with jobassignments
- Ability to read, write andcommunicate verbally in English.
EXPERIENCE : Previousexperience working in a human services agency preferred.

Multiple simultaneousactivities around patient care. Exposure to infectiousdiseases and intermittent exposure possible to blood, excrements,odors and noise.
Work area has normal heat, light, andair.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Emotional and physical ability to cope with stressand physical nature of inpatient work with behavioral healthpatients;
possibility of emergency lifting and need for physicalinterventions. Must be able to handle emergency / crisissituations, prolonged, extensive or considerable standing / walking.
Has knowledge of and uses good body mechanics. Frequently lifts,positions, pushes and / or transfers patients or equipment.
Abilityto work in crisis and potentially hazardous situation(s). Hearingand visual acuity within normal limits. Manual dexterity andfine motor coordination required.
Is scheduled to be on-call,and expected to work on short notice and on an emergencybasis.
