About the Role :
As a Line Cook at Upstream Brewing, you will be an integral part of our culinary team and play a crucial role in maintaining the exceptional quality of our food.
You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring that they are presented in an appealing manner and meet our high standards.
Your ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment will be crucial to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare ingredients, such as meat, poultry, fish, and vegetables for cooking
- Follow recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and high-quality standards
- Cook and plate a wide range of menu items according to established guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure prompt and efficient service
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation procedures to guarantee compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist in food inventory management and stock rotation
- Keep up with industry trends and continuously strive to improve your culinary skills
Qualifications :
- Previous experience working as a Line Cook, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and dedication to food quality
- Current food handler’s permit or willingness to obtain one
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
