Description
This role is responsible for handling discarded cardboard, housekeeping for the warehouse team and providing adequate supplies to shipping team members, including kitted materials.
This role also provides cleaning and sanitation as needed as a backup to the external cleaning service.
Job Duties :
- Collecting and disposing cardboard and trash from the warehouse and shipping areas.
- Supplying shipping team with proper supplies such as boxes, tape, cutters, etc.
- Bagging and bundling individual items for kitting (e.g., HearClears).
- Stickering items for kitting with PN and FIFO stickers.
- Taking inventory of box stock and shipping supplies.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by following all procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Cleaning as needed in and around the floor, break room, bathrooms and office areas, including dust or damp mopping, sweeping, picking up larger objects off the floor, and spot cleaning.
- Cleaning restrooms as needed, including restocking dispensers, emptying trash, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping tile floors, and cleaning toilets and urinals.
- Vacuuming, emptying trash, and replacing trash liners as needed.
- Stocking and maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies as needed.
- Monitoring and maintaining sanitation and organization of assigned areas.
- Assuring safety standards are being utilized, and complying with all company, local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Other assigned duties as required by management.

Summary of Experience and Education :
Previous experience in shipping / and or supply chain systems within a warehouse environment preferred

- Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel, stoop or crouch repeatedly
Work Environment :
- The position operates in a transportation and inventory warehouse environment with associated distraction such as noise from machinery and equipment.
- Temperature-controlled warehouse with some fluctuation of temperatures in the warehouse area when the dock is open for shipping or receiving.
- Will be required to work near moving or mechanical equipment
