Registered Nurse RN - PACU / Recovery Room

Details* Department : PACU / Recovery Room* Schedule : Full - time, day shift* Monday - Friday with no set schedule.* 7.5 / 9 / 12 hour shifts available.

Hospital : Ascension Sacred Heart Bay* Location : Panama City, Florida* Hours will be based upon shift and department needs.

There is also an on-call and holiday requirement. ResponsibilitiesProvide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.* Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.* Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.* Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

RequirementsLicensure / Certification / Registration : * BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted.* Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date required.

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursingor current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior tohire date or job transfer date required.

Education : * Diploma from an accredited school / college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time ofhire.Additional Preferences2 years of acute care nursing experience required.

2 years of PACU experience or relevant critical care experience preferred.ASPAN certification preferred.ACLS and PALS required upon completion of orientation.
