We are 100% employee-owned firm and excited to bolster our team with an Architect, passionate about our Government + Cultural Business Unit.
Applicants should have an enthusiasm for big picture strategy, developing relationships, and designing public service facilities, cultural spaces, and Native American centers.
As an Architect for the Government + Cultural Business Unit, you will be an ISG Employee Owner working collaboratively with your fellow employee owners to develop creative solutions.
Noted as an Emerging Professional Friendly firm by the AIA, this role provides immense opportunities to learn and strengthen skills, lead, and mentor team members with the development and design of projects.
Regardless of your office, you will assist in winning and executing work within the Government + Cultural Business Unit throughout the entire ISG footprint.
Because of this, travel may be necessary at times.
In this role, you will work closely with Jeremy Wiesen, Architecture Group Leader and Tanya Pierce, Government + Cultural Business Unit Leader.
You will also collaborate with ISG internal resources for design and project collaboration, project execution, code review and evaluations, specification writers, visualization specialists, and construction administrators.

- Cedar Falls Public Library
- Minnesota Army National Guard Austin Armory
We are looking to add your design expertise to continue supporting similar projects. Here are more details :
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Work directly with clients in all phases of design process, including master planning, funding development, programming, and presenting.
- Communicate project goals, objectives, design standards and procedures with project managers and multi-discipline team.
- Direct the development and preparation of project contract documents.
- Serve as a mentor and build the team.
- Other duties as assigned or instructed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to connect and promote ISG’s solutions to clients.
- Ability to communicate ideas empathetically and visually through both written and verbal communications.
- Ability to represent ISG and clients in public forums.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree from an accredited architecture program.
- Licensed to practice architecture.
- Familiarity in Revit, Adobe Suite and Sketchup computer software packages.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, participate with a variety of team members on different projects at varying levels of development.
