Job Title : Mental Health Counselor

Location : Pleasantville, New York

Employment Type : Full-time OR Fee for Service

Schedule : 8-hour, 10-hour and 12-hour shifts available; rotating weekends

Responsibilities :

• Provide individual crisis intervention to children and adolescents using age-appropriate, evidence-based approaches.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups and workshops to address common childhood challenges.
• Stay informed about current trends and best practices in children's mental health to inform approaches.

Qualifications :

• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field with a focus on children and adolescents.
• Current licensure in New York State or eligibility for limited permit licensure as an LMHC, LMSW & LCSW
• Experience working with children and families in a mental health setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage children and build rapport.
