Responsibilities

Two full-time postdoctoral positions are available immediately in a drug discovery and enzymology laboratory to develop new therapies based on drug delivery via either liposomes or extracellular vesicles (exosomes) secreted by human mesenchymal stem cells.

• Perform bench work, write own protocols, take detailed notes of experimental procedures and phenomena, analyze experimental data, and write research reports and manuscripts for publication.
• Analyze existing methodologies and develop new protocols. Evaluate and prepare statistical analysis of data accumulated in ongoing research.
• Attend departmental seminars and conduct scientific literature review to stay current with new technologies, methods, and research findings.
• Assist the PI to write grant proposals and train new trainees to do research. Collaborate on research projects with other members of the lab.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or applicable field conferred within the last five years.
• We are seeking highly motivated candidates with experience in molecular biology or biochemistry.
• All applicants should have strong communication skills and experience preparing scientific manuscripts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in extracellular vesicles, molecular biology, drug screening, cell-based assays, protein purification, recombinant DNA techniques, and biochemistry is preferred.
• Research experience in exosomes or / and liposomes as well as drug discovery is highly preferred.
