Starting IVs; Heparin; Insulin; CVA; Surgical drains; Nasal Cannula; Oral suctioning; Oxygen face masks; Portable Oxygen tank; Isolation Precautions

• AHA BLS
• ACLS preferred
• MS / Tele; Telemetry; Interpretation of dysrhythmias; Management of dysrhythmias; Telemetry -on the unit monitoring; Telemetry- remote monitoring;
• IV insulin protocols; Colostomy care; Feeding tube care and management; Pre / Post Hemodialysis Management; Renal failure;
• PICC line management; PCA; Pre / Post Neuro Surgery; Ortho trauma; Total Joint Replacements; CPAP / BiPAP; High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC);

Interpretation of ABGs; Non-invasive airway management; Wound Care / Wound Vac preferred

• Float required between four other MS / Tele unit
• Travelers within 50 miles are not accepted

MED / SURG RN for community hospital. Patient population includes General Medical / Surgical Population, Total joint and Spine Surgery.

Provider support includes interpretation services, lift teams, pharmacy, phlebotomy, physical therapy, radiology, rapid response teams, respiratory services, social services, transportation, and unit secretary.

Provider coverage includes Hospitalist.

2 years experience required. No 1st time travelers. On call, weekends, float required between four other MS / Tele unit. Tele buddy responsible for strips.

Meditech documentation. SBAR communication. Dress code is blue scrubs (not provided, must be plain / no logos). 24 hours orientation.

Certifications REQUIRED : BLS (AHA only, no HeartCode)

ACLS cert preferred.
