Deploying a fleet of 100,000 electric delivery vehicles is one of major ways we’re making a difference. Amazon's Global Fleet and Product (GFP) team’s mission is to provide the vehicles and services that enable Amazon to delight customers within our last mile operations.
The Senior Operations Engineer for Amazon Logistics GFP will have responsibility for developing and implementing technical solutions for electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
Emphasis will be on integrating technology into existing delivery station designs, influencing designs for scalability across the North America delivery station network, and ensuring adaptability for future technology development.
This will require technical leadership and cross-functional influence, coordinating across AMZL design, electrical and process requirements, Worldwide Design standards, product teams, and collaboration with utilities.
The ideal candidate will have a proven history of engineering leadership and innovation, and a demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of projects.
Responsibilities :
- Partner with construction and design organizations to design, retrofit, and build new sites at scale to develop the electric powered delivery network of the future
- Solve complex, technical problems with simple, innovative, and practical solutions
- Develop and maintain multiple, complex, and concurrent projects
- Work with stakeholders to define program scope, assign responsibilities, identify appropriate resources needed, and develop milestones to ensure timely completion of programs
- Work effectively with senior leadership across multiple organizations and geographies
Travel expectations will be approximately 25%

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience
- Bachelor's degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
- Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)
